Made in a guild challenge called ‘Amish Made Modern’, my inspiration was a quilt made by Melinda Miller in Ohio in 1888, Instead of the traditional layout using multiple Railroad Crossing blocks, I made one oversized block in bright solids. Debbie Krajkowski helped choose a traditional feather pattern for the quilting, but the hot pink thread gives it a modern twist. This is my all-time favorite quilt of the many I’ve made!
