Stet is an examination of negative space as a design element. The improvisational pieced blocks bleed their bold, contemporary colors into and through the grey field of commas via single, double and triple vertical and horizontal lines of quilting. The quilting starts, stops and changes color, adding texture and depth while moving the eye through the piece to the pops of hand-appliquéd color that punctuate the straight-line quilting at the faced edges.
