The Palm Beach Modern Quilt Guild is for full-time and part-time residents in and around the Palm Beach area who have an interest in modern quilting and design.
Our members will meet regularly to discuss all things quilting, including education, tips, and sharing of ideas.
Our guild is a part of the Modern Quilt Guild, an international organization supporting the modern quilting community and the host of the annual quilting convention, Quiltcon!
The Palm Beach MQG also is a host guild for the South Florida Quilt Expo.
Monthly Meetings – The PBMQG meets on the first Saturday of every month at 1:30pm at Laura’s Sewing & Quilt Shop in Palm Beach Gardens.

Sherry has always been fascinated by quilts, but started quilting when she and her husband lived on Maui in the 1990’s. Her first project was a Hawaiian quilt pattern made into a pillow – all hand-appliqued and quilted. At the time, she thought it was cheating unless everything was done by hand – her opinion has since changed….A Lot!
She recently got her quilty wish and added a long arm to her sewing room! Sherry served on the Board of the South Florida MQG for 3 years booking online lectures and workshops for the Guild. Sherry, her husband, and their 2 Bichons, Oliver and Fiona, recently moved to Jupiter where Sherry grew up many years ago. She enjoys all types of quilting, although improv is a bit of struggle for her, so she’s looking forward to learning and growing along with the Palm Beach MQG!
